June 2009
Dear Friends,
We appreciate the opportunity to present some of our latest media, exhibit, collateral, and web projects produced here at Sonalysts. Like everyone in the many industries we service, we have worked hard these past months to produce the best value without sacrificing the creative quality our clients expect.
As summer approaches, we're also excited to have on-site the syndicated game show, "Deal or No Deal," produced by Endemol USA/Lock and Key Productions. Governor M. Jodi Rell announced this exciting development in May, citing Connecticut's Digital Media and Production Tax Credit as a primary reason the production is moving from L.A. to the state. The program is distributed by the show's production partner, NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution. More information will follow in our next e-newsletter.
We thank the many companies we work with for their support and ongoing business, and look forward to working with new firms as the economy continues to show improvement.
Sincerely,
Sonalysts Media and Exhibit Group

Z-Medica Corporation - QuikClot Marketing Animations

Working with Z-Medica, Sonalysts produced two presentations to promote its QuikClot® Emergency Dressing™ gauze product—a breakthrough, patented product that almost instantly stops high-volume bleeding from open wounds.
Through the use of 3D Animation and 2D Graphics, the initial video illustrates the activation of factors in the blood to initiate and promote rapid coagulation as well as the clotting process on a cellular level within a damaged blood vessel. Additionally, voice-over narration, text callouts, and sound design were used to accentuate key aspects of the process and the benefits of the QuikClot Emergency Dressing gauze product. This video is currently being used at various Trade Shows and on their website.
The follow-on video, an add-on segment to the original video mentioned above, shows the QuikClot® Emergency Dressing™ gauze product in clinical trail. By incorporating video, branded graphics, and sound design, this segment identifies the key milestones of the clinical procedure. Z-Medica is the home of the breakthrough QuikClot® brand hemostatic agent and other medical products at the forefront of blood clotting technology.

New Rascal Flatts Concert Encore Animation

For their 2009 "Unstoppable" tour, Rascal Flatts asked Sonalysts to create an animation to introduce their encore at each concert. Based on a medley of classic Rock & Roll riffs provided by Rascal Flatts' Joe Don Rooney, the animation depicts a Guitar Hero type character singing and playing the music. With each new song snippet, the outfits, hairstyles, guitars, and backgrounds transform to match the music genre.
Sonalysts created and directed the choreography, sight gags, and visual effects that enhance the character's transformations through Elvis, Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles and more. Sonalysts also added sound design elements to augment the visuals. The animation plays center stage on a 25' wide by 16' high Winvision LED screen.

Blue Back Square: "Bring Back" Campaign
The Television commercial for Blue Back Square was shot in the shops and streets of West Hartford's shopping District called Blue Back Square. The campaign is meant to remind consumers of what an event shopping can be - by turning back time.
The Worx Group approached Sonalysts to produce the commercial, based on Sonalysts' experience in special effects and compositing. The spots were shot in High Definition and required the painstaking task of rotoscoping actor/actresses out of each scene. The finished spot mixed models in '40s and '50s outfits juxtaposed with contemporary settings.
The print and TV ads are presently running.

"The Breakers Revealed" - A New, Self-Guided Audio Tour

The Preservation Society of Newport County recently introduced a new, self-guided audio tour for The Breakers, the historic house museum that was the great Vanderbilt "summer cottage" in Newport, Rhode Island. The lightweight, handheld player presents remembrances of life in The Breakers, provides visitors more flexibility and control of their tour, and has eliminated waiting times during even the busiest holiday weekends. The Breakers draw over 300,000 visitors each year from countries across the globe.
Sonalysts Audio department produced the audio tour in 4 languages - English, French, Spanish, and German. We recorded and edited narrators, actors, and interview portions; provided sound design and music; and mixed the entire project. All detailed files were then conformed to be compatible with the handheld players.
The Preservation Society of Newport County is a non-profit educational organization accredited by the American Association of Museums and dedicated to preserving and interpreting Newport's historic architecture, landscapes, and decorative arts. Its 11 historic properties—7 of them National Historic Landmarks—span more than 250 years of American architectural and social development.
